How do I care for my furniture?
UPHOLSTERY: Most stains can be spot-cleaned with a little mild soap and water solution. Using a clean white cloth and a bit of the solution, rub the stain gently with circular motions. Once the stain has been removed, wipe the area again with only water to remove any soap. Finally, blot dry with a fresh cloth; do not leave affected area in direct sunlight while drying. For tougher stains, please consult a professional upholstery cleaner.

WOOD FURNITURE: Dust often with a soft dry cloth.

Is any assembly required for your products?
All of our products arrive fully assembled, except for the bassinet rocker base, which requires minimal assembly.

Does your furniture meet all British Safety Standards?
Yes. All our products meet or exceed all British Safety Standards.

Does your foam contain any PBDE’s?
No. Our foam does not contain any of the harmful PBDE’s. We are committed to using safe, proven and sustainable supplies for all our customers, especially the little ones.

How do I know I will find your chairs comfortable?
A wide variety of body types and heights were considered when designing our chairs. We understand that personal comfort varies from person to person. If you are unsure about which chair is right for you, please give us a call at 1-866-604-6755, and we will assist you with your decision.

Is there a way to lock the gliding motion?
No - our gliders do not have the option of locking. However, our grano glider recliner will not glide once the chair is reclined.

I noticed not all of your fabric options have the same feel. Are they all micro suedes?
Although some of our fabric colors feel slightly different in texture, they are all micro suedes, and all are equally durable and stain resistant.

Do you offer your gliders or rockers in COM (customers own fabric for upholstery)?
We do not offer COM. We can however manufacture the lumbar pillow that comes with the chair in your own supplied fabric. Please inquire about details.

My glider just arrived, and it's not quite as soft as I remembered it in the store. Will it soften up?
Yes. Over time, the foam used in your chair (most notably the back and seat) will work in and feel softer.

What is the warranty on your chairs?
Our furniture comes with a one year warranty on manufacturing defects. Please note our warranty is voided if the item has been re-upholstered or altered in any way (such as adding a fabric protector such as Scotchguard).

Why is the Luca Glider not available in Bonded Leather?
The complex upholstery requirements of the luca glider are not achievable with this material.

Should I add any additional stain protection to my upholstered item like a Scotch-Guard?
No, we do not recommend treating our fabrics with any stain protectors or treatment products.

Where are your products made?
All our products are made in our Toronto, Canada factory.

What is bonded leather?
Bonded leather is a fabric made from 80 % recycled leather

Does Monte Design Group support any charities?
